LASH LIFT FAQ

HOW LONG WILL MY LASH LIFT LAST? On average it will last 6-8 weeks, depending on your natural lash growth cycle.

WILL IT HARM MY LASHES? OR HOW WILL IT AFFECT MY NATURAL LASHES? The active ingredient in lash lift is Keratin. When performed by a trained stylist and when aftercare instructions are properly followed, your natural lash will not be damaged.

CAN I STILL WEAR MAKEUP? Yes, 24 hours after the treatment. However, you must wear oil free mascara. We highly recommend our recommended Afercare.

WILL I STILL NEED TO USE AN EYELASH CURLER? No, that is one of the benefits of a Lash Lift! The natural lash will stay curled throughout the rest of its cycle. Just be sure the lashes stay dry the first 24 hours.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A LASH LIFT AND LASH EXTENSIONS? A lift gives a semi-permanent curl to the existing natural lashes while extensions are applied 1:1 on top of each natural lash. Lifting your lashes will enhance your natural lashes. Eyelash extensions give a more dramatic result, but require additional maintenance.

HOW DO I PREPARE FOR A LASH LIFT TREATMENT?

  • The preparation does not require much trouble. The most important thing is to come without makeup.

  • Try not to wear waterproof mascara for at least a week before the treatment.

  • Come showered, because showering is non-advisable for at least 24 hours.

  • If you wear contact lenses, take them off before the treatment and wear glasses instead.

  • On your first visit to our studio, we ask that you arrive 15 minutes prior to your schedule appointment to allow for registration and initial consultation.

  • On return visits to our lash studio, we ask you to arrive 5 minutes prior to your schedule appointment.

  • If you are wearing makeup we ask you to arrive 15 minutes prior to your schedule appointment and ask for cleansing pads.  This will avoid any delay in your service.

  • DO NOT wear eye makeup. Makeup close to the eye area must be removed prior to the application process.  Use a mild, oil free cleanser. Do not use oil-base makeup remover.

  • DO NOT apply face cream or sunblock in the eye area. The oil found in many moisturizers prevents eyelash bond from bonding to the natural lash and reduces the longevity of your extensions.

  • DO NOT have mascara on.  Any residue of makeup will prevent proper application of the extensions.

  • DO NOT curl your lashes before your appointment. Extensions will not adhere to crimped lashes.

  • Please silence your phone while extensions are being applied. Talking while in your in service can be difficult for your extensionist, lash application requires precision. Feel free to relax and take a nap. Lash naps are the best!

  • Wear or bring your eyeglasses to your appointment if you normally wear contact lenses.

  • DO NOT tint, perm or treat your eyelashes with any chemical treatment 24 hours prior to your appointment.

Tell your technician if you have recently had treatments that can irritate the eye, such as skin resurfacing, chemical peels, eye brow waxing, laser treatments, or permanent laser applications. Recovery time varies with each procedure and individual.
